William Lusk 
William was born about 1720.1 William's father was William Lusk and his mother was Sarah Gwin. His paternal grandfather was John Lusk. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named David, Samuel, Mary, Robert, Hugh, James, John, Martha and Sarah. He was the second oldest of the ten children. He died on August 20th, 1771 in ,Augusta,VA.1 General Notes
In the name of God, Amen. The 2d day of May 1771, I, William Lusk of Augusta County, Va., being sick and weak in body, but of perfect mind and memory, and calling to mind the mortality, knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament, that is today; Principally, and first of all, I recommend my soul to God that gave it, and my body to the dust, to be decently interred, at the discretion of my executors and for such worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me, I give, bequeath, and dispose of the same in manner and form following:
First, I order that all my just debts and funeral charges be paid by my Executors.
Imprimis; I give and bequeath unto my sons, John and William Lusk in Carolina, five shillings to each of them, to be paid by my Executors.
Item: I give unto my daughter Mary Phillips, five pounds, to be paid unto her by my Executors.
Item: I give and bequeath unto my son, Joseph, ten pounds, to be paid unto him over and above his proportion of my estate, to be paid by my Executors befre any division of my estate.
Item: I order, and it is my wil, that all my estate, real and personal, that is to say, all my land and movables, be sold at public auction, except the household furniture, and a sorrel horse and saddle, by my Executors, and a good, sufficient title deed or conveyance, in fee simple, made by my Executors for my land to the purchasers; and the whole divided; after the deduction of my just debts and the above legacies mentioned, in the following manner, viz my beloved wife Elizabeth; my son Joseph, my daughters Elizabeth, Sarah, and Margaret, each of them to have an equal share of the whole, to them and their heirs.
Item: I give, over and above their proportion of all my estate, to my wife, my household furniture and a sorrel horse and her saddle, to be at her disposal.
Lastly: I constitute and appoint my beloved wife Elizabeth, with Andrew Hays, Senior, and Samuel Lyle, Executors and Executorix of this my Last WIll, and do hereby revoke and disannul all other Wills executed by me, heretofore made, confirming and approving this.

At a court held for Augusta County, August the 20th 1771, this last will and Testament of William Lusk, dec'd, was proved by the oaths of Dan'l Lyle and James Lyle, Jr., two of the witnesses thereto, and ordered to be recorded.
At a court continued and held for Augusta County, August the 21, 1771, this last will and Testament of Wm Lusk stood was yesterday proved by the oaths of Dan'l Lyle and James Lyle, Junior, two of the witnesses thered to and ordered to be recorded and on the motion of Samuel Lyle, and Andrew Hays, the executors therein named, who made oath according to law, certificate is granted them for attaining a probate thereof, in due form, they having, with securities, entered into and acknowledged their bond according to law.
