Living's father was Jesse Turner "Joe" Yount and her mother was Living Green.  Her paternal grandparents were Jesse Azariah Yount and Nancy Pairlee Farmer; her maternal grandparents were Walter Green and Minta Starkey. She had five brothers and a sister, named Living, Living, Living, Living, Living and Living.

They had three daughters named Living, Living and Living.
