Her paternal grandparents were James Lockridge and Isabella Kincaid; her maternal grandparents were John Graham and Elizabeth Walkup. She had six brothers and six sisters, named John, Andrew Y, James, William, Robert, Lancelot, Elizabeth, Margaret, Eleanor, Ann, Jean and Rebecca.-
