Matilda Virneburg Countess

Matilda was born about 1258 in Virneburg,Rhineland,Prussia.  Matilda's father was Henry I Virneburg Count and her mother was Ponzette Oberstein.  Her maternal grandfather was Eberhard III Von Oberstein. She had six brothers and seven sisters, named Rupert II, Frederick, Eberhard, Henry, Werner, Philip II, Aleidis Countess, Margaret, Imagine, Lise, Ponzette, Jutte and Elisabeth.  She was the oldest of the fourteen children.

‌Matilda were married in a religious ceremony before November 25th, 1275.
