Elisabeth was born about 1300 in Virneburg,Rheinland,Prussia. Elisabeth's father was Rupert II Virneburg Count and her mother was Kunigunde Cuijck. Her paternal grandparents were Henry I Virneburg Count and Ponzette Oberstein; her maternal grandfather was Johann Cuijck. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Rupert III, Heinrich, Gerhard, Johann, Werner, Kunegunde, Matilda, Ponzette, Margaret and Beatrix. She was the fourth youngest of the eleven children. She died on September 14th, 1343.-
