Baron Fretehard of was born in 0974. Baron Fretehard of's father was Baron Unruoch of Teisterbant. His paternal grandparents were Baron Eberhard of Drenthe-Salland and Baroness Amalrada of Hamaland. He had three brothers named Baron Everhard of, Bishop Adalbold of and Baron Godizo of. He was the second oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 53 in 1027.
