Olaf II Godredson King of (The Red) Man & the Isles 
Olaf II Godredson King of, known as The Red, was born in 1086 in Isle Of Man.1 The Red's father was Godred III Crovan King Of (White Hands) Dublin & Man and his mother was Maria Hardraada Haraldsdatter. His paternal grandfather was Harald ddu "the Black" of Islay. He had two half-brothers named Lagman and Harald. He died at the age of 67 on June 29th, 1153 in Isle Of Man.1 General Notes

The third (1986) edition of the Royal Historical Society's Handbook of British Chronology' says Olaf I was the son of Godred I (Croven) who ruled from 1079-95. Godred was perhaps the son of Harald the Black of Ysland and has been conjectured to be the grandson of Godred son of Harold who was probably the ruler of Man in 979.
