Her paternal grandparents were Iorwerth "Drwyndwn" ap Owain and Margred Verch Madog; her maternal grandparents were John, "Lackland" ("Lackland") Plantagenet King of England and Agatha de Ferrers. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Tegwared-y-Bais Wen ap Llywelyn, Dafydd ap Llywelyn , Prince of Gwynedd, Dafydd Prince N Wales, Gwladus, Angharad verch Llywelyn , of Wales, Helen Verch, Margred Verch, Angharad and Margaret Verch. She had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Gruffydd Ap, Gruffydd ap Llywelyn , Lord Lleyn, Gwladys Verch, Gwladus Ddu "the Dark verch Llywelyn, Gwenllian verch Llywelyn and Margaret.
