Juana de's father was Antonio Chacon Sanchez de Morales and her mother was Constanza de Quiroga.  Her paternal grandparents were Antonio de Chacon and Luisa Sanchez de Morales y León Carvajal; her maternal grandparents were Bernardino Quiroga Lozada y Villasur and Juana Miranda de Rueda.  She was an only child.
