Katherine was born about 1190. Katherine's father was Alan Basset , Lord Of Wycombe and her mother was Aline de Grey. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Basset , of Headington and Adeliza (Alice) de Dunstanville; her maternal grandparents were Philip [De Gai] FitzRobert and Sedzilla De Berkeley. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Philip Basset Sir, Philip, Fulk Basset, Aliva, Aline, Aliva and Hawise.General Notes
