Cecilia De was born about 1240 in Bernard Castle,Gainford,Durham,England.1 Cecilia De's father was John De Baliol LORD OF BARNARD CASTLE and her mother was Dervorgilla De Galloway. Her paternal grandparents were Hugh De Baliol Lord of Barnard Castle and Cecily De La Fontaine; her maternal grandparents were Alan McDonald De Galloway Lord of Galloway and Margaret of Huntington. She had five brothers and six sisters, named Hugh De, Alexander De, John, Alan De, William De, Eleanor De, Mary De, Ada De, Euphemia De, Baliol and Margaret De.
