Adeline was born in 1052 in Hinckley,England.1 Adeline's father was Hugh de Grentmesnil and her mother was Adeliza de Beaumont. Her paternal grandparents were Robert de Grentmesnil and Advise (Hawisa) de Escalfoy; her maternal grandparents were Yves IV , Count of Beaumont-sur-Oise de Beaumont and Adelaide de Gournay. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Robert, Ivo Or Ives, Adeliza and Agnes. She was the oldest of the five children. She had a half-brother named Robert III. She died after 1085.2 -
