Mahaut de Salisbury was born in Gloucester,England.1 Mahaut de Salisbury's father was Edward de Salisbury de Evereux and her mother was Maud FITZHUBERT. Her paternal grandfather was Walter de Evereux Earl of Rosmare; her maternal grandfather was Ralph FITZHUBERT. She had a brother named Walter FitzEdward de Salisbury. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Walter FitzEdward de Salisbury and Maud De. She died in 1142.1 General Notes

Arnaud-Bellee, 1978: Humphrey married Maud (Mathilda or Mahaut, who died 1142), daughter of Edward de Salisbury, between 1087 and 1100. The dowry gave him important estates in the Wiltshire area and the barony of Trowbridge. This was the first of a series of marriages which benefitted the Bohons. They had a daughter, Maud, and a son, Humphrey III.
