Lady bint's father was Caliph I, of Damascus Marwan and her mother was A'Isha bint Mu'Awiya. Her paternal grandparents were Abu al-Hakim ibn Abu and Amina bint Alkama al-Kinaniyya; her maternal grandfather was Mu'Awiya ibn al-Mughira. She was an only child.
