Her paternal grandparents were Roger de Montgomery and Josceline de Pont-audemer; her maternal grandparents were William D'Alencon of Talvas and Hildeburge de Beaumont. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named Robert II de, Roger "The Poitevin", Hugues de, Phillip, Arnulph de, Robert, Robert, Emma, Mabel and Sybil. She had a half-sister named Ponce.
