Friedrich I Duke of Upper was born in 0913 in Aachen Rheinland Prussia. Friedrich I Duke of Upper's father was Wigerich von Aachen and his mother was Kunigonde de France. His paternal grandparents were Rainer Count of Saunois and Kunigonde de Triers & Ardennes; his maternal grandparents were Louis II "The Stammerer" , King of France and Aelis (or Adelaide) de Paris. He had five brothers and a sister, named Adalberto, Bishop of, Gozelo , Count of Bidgau, Giselbert, Graf in den, Siegfried Count of, Otto of and Luitgarde of. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 65 in 0978.General Notes
