Gilbert Lord Folkingham was born in 1048. Gilbert Lord Folkingham's father was Baudouin IV (I) Of Flanders and his mother was Richilde of Hainault. His paternal grandparents were Baudouin V "The Pious" Count of Flanders and Adele France; his maternal grandfather was Count Reiner of Mons. He had two brothers named Arnoul III Count of and Baudouin II Count of. He was the oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 46 in 1094.General Notes
