Elizabeth was born in 1248 in Buchan Aberdeenshire Scotland. Elizabeth's father was Alexander Comyn and her mother was Elizabeth De Quincy. Her paternal grandparents were William Earl of Buchan Comyn and Margaret Buchan. She had a brother named Alexander of Buchan Sheriff of Aberdeen. She was the older of the two children. She had a half-brother named Alexznder II Sheriff of Aberdeen.General Notes
