Maud was born about 1088 in Belvoir,Suffolk,England. Maud's father was Roger , Earl of East Anglia Bigod and her mother was Alice de Tosny. Her paternal grandparents were Robert or Roger Bigod and Miss Saint Saveur; her maternal grandparents were Roger I Toeni and Godhuet , Mrs Toeni. She had a brother and three sisters, named Hugh , 1st Earl of Norfolk, Gunnor Or Gunnora, Cicely and Jane. She had a half-sister named Emma Fitz. She died before 1136.-
