Robert IV de was born about 1070 in Bethune,Pas-de-Calais,FRA.  Robert IV de's father was Robert III de Béthune.  His paternal grandfather was Robert II de Béthune.  He was an only child.  He died about 1123.

They had a son named Guillaume I de.
