Thomas III was born about 1156 in Of,Headington,Oxfordshire,England. Thomas III's father was Thomas II Basset and his mother was Alice (Or Adeliza) De Dunstanville. His paternal grandparents were Gilbert Basset and Edith D'oilly; his maternal grandparents were Robert (Or Reginald) De Dunstanville and Isabella De Toulouse. He had two brothers and a sister, named Alan, Gilbert and N.N.. He was the second oldest of the four children. He died in 1220.General Notes
