Bernard I Count Of was born about 0815 in Auvergne,France.  Bernard I Count Of's father was Gerhard I Count of Auvergne.  His paternal grandfather was Renaud Count of Poitiers. He had two brothers and a sister, named I , Duke of Aquitaine, Ranulph I Duke Of and Miss.  He was the oldest of the four children.  He died in 0868.
