Hanibal Zike 
Hanibal was born about 1861 in Shelby County, Indiana. Hanibal's father was William Zike and his mother was Mary Phares. His paternal grandparents were David Zike and Catherine Smith. He had four brothers and three sisters, named William Riley, Robert C., Roscoe W., Charles P., Sarah F., Judella and Mary Sue. He had two half-brothers named Charles and Joseph A.. He died on February 12th, 1924 in Greenfield, Indiana. He was buried in Greenfield Cemetery, Greenfield, Indiana.General Notes
They lived for several years in Sullivan County, Indiana. Later they
moved to Greenfield, Indiana, where they died and are probably buried.
The Rev. Harry V. Smith remembered seeing a letter written by Hanibal
Zike to his Uncle Jacob Zike of Lawrence County, Indiana. This letter was
in the possession of Mrs. Margaret Buchanan of Bloomington, Indiana.
