Lola Edith Sipes 
Lola Edith was born on October 31st, 1901 in Monroe Co., Indiana. Lola Edith's father was Joseph Sipes and her mother was Dessie Hawkins. She had a brother named Jasper Edward. She was the older of the two children. She died at the age of 78 on June 15th, 1980 in Bloomington Hospital, Bloomington, Monroe Co., Indiana. She was buried in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Monroe Co., Indiana.General Notes

Heltonville - Edith Hawkins, 78, R. 1, Heltonville, died Sunday at
Bloomington Hospital.
Born Oct 31, 1901, in Monroe County, she was the daughter of Joseph
and Dessie (Hawkins) Sipes.
She was a member of the Upper Room Pentecostal Church.
Surviving are her husband, Oscar Hawkins; three sons, Lloyd Deckard
and Thurman "Red" Deckard, both of Heltonville, and Cecil Deckard,
Bloomington; one daughter, Lois Prince, Heltonville; one sister, Dorothy
Eads, Smithville; tow brothers, Kenneth, Bloomington, and Jasper,
Heltonville; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Everett Deckard.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Day Mortuary chapel, with the
Rev. Thelma Prince officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home 7 to 9 p.m. today, 10 a.m. to 9
p.m. Tuesday, and 10 a.m. until the time of services
