Joseph J. Ripberger

Joseph J. was born in September 1856 in St. Peters, Franklin Co., Indiana.  Joseph J.'s father was Peter Ripberger and his mother was Barbara Schmitt. He had four brothers and two sisters, named John A., Michael Valentine, Charles A., Leo A., Mary and Theresa.  He was the third oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 83 on June 21st, 1940.

‌Joseph J. and Elizabeth M. were married in a religious ceremony on September 26th, 1883.  They had four sons and a daughter, named Hubert (Herbert) l., Sylvester, Alvin L., Gilbert J. and Caroline ( Carrie).
