Heltonville, Rodney Prince, 41, of Heltonville, died Friday at
Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis from injuries suffered in a logging
accident Friday at Morgan - Monroe State Forest.
Born Aug. 21, 1949, in Monroe County, he was the son of Ira and
Thelma (Kinser) Prince of Bloomington. He was self-employed with
Prince's Logging in Heltonville. He was a member of the Pentecostal
faith and Southern Monroe Conservation Club. He had coached Little
League in Smithville for the past 15 years.
Survivors include his wife, Linda (Deckard) Prince; one son, Gregory
Dale Prince of Heltonville; one daughter, Melissa Sue Prince of
Heltonville; one brother, Robbin Prince of Bloomington; two sisters,
Carolyn sue Morron of Columbus and Gloria Jean Eads of Bedford; and his
parents, Ira and Thelma Prince of Bloomington.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Arthur and
Pauline Prince, and his maternal grandparents, Albert and Gusta Kinser.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Day Mortuary with Brother Tom
Meadows officiating. Burial will be in Clover Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call 2 - 9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until services
