Robert Phene was born on August 27th, 1839 in Fauquier, Virginia. Robert Phene's father was Joseph Palmer and his mother was Elizabeth Fuller. His paternal grandparents were Unknown Palmer and Alice Palmer. He had nine brothers and four sisters, named Sidney, Thomas, Joseph L., Daniel, James W., Phillip P., Russel W., Charles Buckner, John Kenny, Margaret, Mary Susan, Elizabeth Ann and Ann Mariah. He was the youngest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 23 on August 5th, 1863 in Civil War, Memphis, Tennessee.-
