Mary Nellie was born on March 2nd, 1882 in Monroe County, Indiana. Mary Nellie's father was John G. McGlothlin and her mother was Lucindia Zike. Her maternal grandparents were Jacob Zike and Mary Dianna Baugh. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Samuel W., James Ranson, Jacob Edward, Schyler, David Newton, infant, Sarah E., Emma Jane and Lou Ada. She was the third youngest of the ten children. She died at the age of 27 on May 3rd, 1909 in Monroe County, Indiana. She was buried in Clover Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, Monroe, Indiana.-
