Richard Gaines Masterson 
Richard Gaines was born on October 28th, 1810 in Lincoln Co., Kentucky. Richard Gaines' father was William Masterson and his mother was Mary "Polly" Patton. His paternal grandparents were Edward, Jr Masterson and Mary Coleman. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Crawford, Thomas P., William, Jr, Edward Winston, UNK, Rachel Bell, Mary Belle, Lucy Jane and Chloe Crawford. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 66 on December 24th, 1876.-
