John Lindsay 
John was born in Maury Co., Tennessee. John's father was John, Jr. Lindsay and his mother was Sarah Kearney. His paternal grandparents were John Lindsay and Mary Lindsay Masterson; his maternal grandparents were Phillip Kearney and Elizabeth Kinchen. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Joachim, Phillip, Mary Masterson, Sarah, Elizabeth, Lucinda, Maria and Martha Dawson.
