Thomas Sowards 
Thomas was born in 1746 in Monroe County,Virginia. Thomas' father was Isaac Sowards and his mother was Miliston Vanderford. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Seward and Susannah; his maternal grandparents were William Vanderford and Rebecca Prentiss. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Isaac, Griffin (Tipsword), Miliston, Nelley, Rebecca and Ruth. He died at the age of 51 on September 20th, 1797 in Greene County,Ohio.-
