II was born in 0962. II's father was III Baldwin and his mother was Matilda Of Saxony. His paternal grandparents were Arnulf and Adele De Vermandois. He had a half-brother named II. He died at the age of 25 in 0987.
II and Rosella were married in a religious ceremony. They had a son named Baldwin IV.
