Richard Fitz was born in 1346 in Arundel,Sussex,England.  Richard Fitz's father was Richard "Copped Hat" Fitzalan 9th Earl of Arun and his mother was Eleanor Plantagenet Lady of Lancaste.  His paternal grandparents were Edmund Fitzalan Earl of Arundel and Alice De Warren; his maternal grandparents were Henry Plantagenet Earl Lancaster and Maud de Chaworth. He had two brothers and two sisters, named John, Thomas, Alice and Joan. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Henry, Philippa and Joan.  He died at the age of 51 in September 1397 in London,Middlesex,England.
