Walter was born in 1411 in Sizergh, Westmoreland, England. Walter's father was Thomas de STRICKLAND and his mother was Mabel BETHOM. His paternal grandparents were Walter (Knight) de STRICKLAND and Margaret de LATHAM; his maternal grandparents were John de BETHAM and Margaret TUNSTALL. He was an only child. He died at the age of 56 in 1467.-
