Thomas de was born about 1198 in Hallamshire, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England. Thomas de's father was Girard II de FURNIVAL and his mother was Matilda LOVETOT. His paternal grandparents were Gerald de FURNIVAL and Andel UNKNOWN; his maternal grandparents were William LOVETOT and Matilda FITZWALTER. He was an only child. He died on April 13th, 1238 in Slain by Saracens in a Crusade to the Holy Land.-
