Berengaria was born in 1180 in Segovia, Castille, Spain. Berengaria's father was Alfonso VIII SANCHEZ and her mother was Eleanor PLANTAGENET. Her paternal grandparents were Sancho III 'Desired' ALFONSEZ and Blanche GARCIA; her maternal grandparents were Henry II 'Curtmantle' King of ENGLAND and Eleanor of AQUITAINE. She was an only child. She died at the age of 66 in 1246 in Burgos, Spain.-
