William Stevens was born on March 4th, 1839 in Anson County, North Carolina.1 William Stevens' father was Jeremiah Ingram and his mother was Mary Crump. His paternal grandparents were William Pines and Susan Strother; his maternal grandparents were Stephen Crump and Sarah Easley. He had four brothers and three sisters, named James Atlas, Joseph, Eben N., George, Nancy, Mary B and Polly. He died at the age of 81 on April 17th, 1920 in Mount Gilead, Montgomery county, North Carolina.1 -
