Edmund J was born on July 25th, 1875.1 Edmund J's father was Edwin Rufus Hotchkiss and his mother was Mahala Ann Gardner. He had two brothers named Earl and Frank. He died at the age of 68 on November 5th, 1943.1 General Notes

Edmund was one of the first homesteaders in Eastern Colorado near Seibert.
Edmund died from ulcers.
Edmund J and Mildred Jane (Armilda) were married in a religious ceremony on April 24th, 1901.1 They had two sons and a daughter, named Allen Gerald, Richard Eugene and Living.
