Walter was born about 1230.1 Walter's father was Richard de Burgh and his mother was Egidia de Lacy. His maternal grandparents were Walter De Lacy and Margaret de Braose. He was an only child. He died on July 28th, 1271.1 General Notes

I don't know whether this will help clarify or confuse, but the parents of
the Walter de Burgh you mention (1230-1271) were Richard de Burgh, L of
Connaught (d.1242) and EGIDA, dau. of Walter de Lacy, Lord Paletine of
Meath (1172-1241) and MARGARET, dau. of WILLIAM DE BRAOSE (1177-1200) and
Maud de St. Valerie, Lady of la Haie.
