David Whipkey 
David was born in 1796 in Turkeyfoot Twp., Somerset County, PA.1 David's father was Henry B Whipkey and his mother was Elizabeth Keefer. His paternal grandparents were John Jacob Whipkey and Elizabeth Hurraw; his maternal grandparents were Nicholas Kieffer and Elizabeth (Kieffer). He had six brothers and six sisters, named Henry B, Johnathon H, Solomon, Joseph, Simon, Abraham Marion, Elizabeth, Hannah, Eva Ann, Marian, Joanna and Anna Elizabeth.
