Sally was born about 1799 in ,Mercer, Kentucky.¹ Sally's father was Beverly WILLIAMS and her mother was Kizziah MARTIN. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Martin, William S., Aaron M., James L., Thomas G., John M., Elizabeth B. "Betsy", Sarah and Nancy. She was the fifth youngest of the ten children.
