Henry de was born in 1172 in Hatfield, Broad Oaks, Essex, England.1 Henry de's father was Aubrey III de VERE and his mother was Agnes de Essex. His paternal grandparents were Aubrey II de VERE and Adeliza (Alice) de CLARE; his maternal grandparents were Henry de Abrincis and Cicely of Rayleigh. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Aubrey Alberic IV De, Robert De, William de, Adeliza de, Cecilia de and Sarah de. He died in England.1 General Notes
