Nicholas de was born in 1240 in (Hill Deverell, Wiltshire, ENG).1 Nicholas de's father was Matthew de Ludelowe and his mother was Patronilla de Swineton. His paternal grandparents were Henricus and Mrs de Ludelowe; his maternal grandparents were Norman de Swineton and Matilda de Misec. He was an only child.
