Richard recorded a deed of land in North Neck, Virginia, in 1667. He was a member of the Hous e of
Burgesses from Northumberland County, Virginia in 1668, 1691, and 1692. The births of 6 of hi s 7
children are in Register of St. Stephens Parish, Northumberland County, Virginia (18 W 129).
From Genealogies of Virginies Families Vol. III:
There is a deed of gift in Northumberland County dated 1664, from Mathew
Rodham and his wife Elizabeth, parents of Elizabeth Rodham. The deed is
reportedly in consideration of Richard Kenner's marriage to their daughter.
This document also confirms that the births of 7 of Richard and Elizabeth's
children are recorded in the Register of St. Stephens Parish. Also that
Richard was a member of the House of Burgessess in 1688, 1691, and 1692, and
that he held the rank of Captain.

Richard served as a member of the House of Burgesses in 1688, 1691, and 1692.
In 1666 his sister in law, Hannah Rodham, married Cpt. Christopher Neale and a
land deed was made out to her from her mother and father as a wedding gift.
The first of his children was Col. Rodham Kenner, born 22 Mar 1671.

birth as 1635, Norfolk, VA; marriage as c1664 and death 1692, Northumberland, VA.
Richard Kenner II (Richard1) was born in Oxfordshire, England 1635. Richard
died before 20 JAN 1692 in St Stephen's Parish, Northumberland, VA, at
approximately 56 years of age.
He married Elizabeth Rodham in St Stephen's Parish, Northumberland, VA, 1664.
Elizabeth was born in Kent Island, St Marys, VA 1649/1651. Elizabeth was the
daughter of Matthew Rodham and Elizabeth Hewitt. Elizabeth died 20 APR 1709 in
Northumberland, VA, at 58 years of age. Deed of gift from bride's father, St
Stephens Parish, Northumberland, VA is used to prove the marriage. soruce:
