Joseph Herring 
Joseph was born about 1688 in Lower Parish, Isle of Wight, VA.1 Joseph's father was Anthony Herring and his mother was Marjorie West. His paternal grandparents were John L Herringe and Margerie. He had eight brothers named Abraham, JOHN, Samuel, Thomas, Steven, Edward, Daniel and Anthony. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He died after 1760 in Johnston Co., NC.1
