Elga L. was born in 1875 in Denton Co., TX.¹ Elga L.'s father was MARTIN Van Buren Dyer and her mother was Palina Ann POWELL. Her maternal grandparents were William Powell and Catherine Sanders. She had four brothers named Thomes E., Charles W., Dock and Jesse D.. She was the third oldest of the five children. She had three half-sisters named Isabell, Carloline and Delia. She died at the age of 24 in 1899 in Fitzhugh, I. T., OK.¹
