Robert II Curthose 
Robert II was born in 1051 in Normandy, France.1 Robert II's father was William I de and his mother was Matilda Maud de Flanders. His paternal grandparents were Robert I and Herleva De Falaise; his maternal grandparents were Baudouin V de Flanders and Adela Alix Capet. He had three brothers and six sisters, named Richard de, William II, Henry I, Adelaide Alice de, Cecilia, Matilda Gundred de, Adela Alice de, Agatha and Constance. He was the oldest of the ten children. He died in Cardiff Castle, Cardiff, Glamorganshire, Wales. He was buried in St Peters Church, Gloucester, England.1 1 General Notes
