James Cooper 
James was born on November 28th, 1847 in White County, Tennessee.1 James' father was Eli Washington Cooper and his mother was Elinda Adcock. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Cooper and Nancy Jennings; his maternal grandparents were John Adcock and Mary (Adcock). He had four brothers and three sisters, named John Savage, Benjamin F., Cornelius, George Washington, Mary L., Rebecca and Elizabeth Jane Betty. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died before 1850 in White County, Tennessee.1 -
