Selesta was born in 1848 in ,,Ohio, USA.1 Selesta's father was Absolom CHENOWETH and her mother was Sara BURGESS. Her paternal grandparents were James Mathias CHENOWETH and Nancy MCBRIDE; her maternal grandparents were ABRAHAM BURGESS and RHODA CASWELL TABER. She had six sisters named Anne M, Jersuha, Amelia, Angelina, Leah Hester and Cleopatrial. She was the second youngest of the seven children.-
