William de III was born about 1216 in Calne, Wilts, Eng & Aston Cantlow, Warw., Eng.1 William de III's father was William II de Cantelou and his mother was Milicent de GOURNAY. His paternal grandparents were William de Cantelou and Mecelin de BRACI; his maternal grandparents were Hugh de GOURNAI and Julia de MARTIN. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Thomas de, John de, Hugh de, Agnes de and daughter de. He was the second oldest of the six children. He died on September 25th, 1254 in Calstone, Wilts, Eng. He was buried on September 30th, 1254 in Studley Priory, Warwick, Eng.1 1 General Notes
